The Best Shows at Magic Kingdom

1. Happily Ever After (Fireworks)

This is the best fireworks show I’ve ever seen, even to this day. The projections on Cinderella Castle are almost more impressive than the fireworks. And the music might be the most amazing part of the whole experience. I give it a 10 out of 10. I’ve seen the fireworks at Disneyland too, and I still like this one more.

The show lasts about 18 minutes. Disney turns Cinderella Castle into a giant screen with projections, and it adds lights, lasers, and special effects down Main Street, U.S.A. To see the projections, you need to be on Main Street. Disney says you can also see the fireworks from parts of Frontierland and Tomorrowland. Those spots are usually less crowded, but you won’t see the projections from there.

Show times can change, so check the My Disney Experience app or the official Happily Ever After page for the schedule. It’s an outdoor show, so bad weather can cancel it.

2. Mickey’s PhilharMagic

If it’s your first trip, this one is a must-do. Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a 3D show that’s thrilling and really funny. It’s about 12 minutes long, it stars Donald Duck, and you’ll find it in Fantasyland. I think it’s even better than the Disneyland version.

3. Country Bear Musical Jamboree

This is my most underrated pick. I went with three other adults in our 30s, and we laughed the whole time. The music is so fun, and it brought back a lot of nostalgia. It was also a really nice break from walking around the park, and it wasn’t crowded.

The Country Bear Musical Jamboree is in Frontierland. It’s a stage show with animatronic bears singing Disney songs with a country feel. If you’re not sure about it, give it a try. It’s a fun way to rest your feet.

4. Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade

I love this parade. It has that classic Disney feel. The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is about 12 minutes long and happens during the day. It has big floats with characters from Tangled, Peter Pan, and The Little Mermaid. Check the schedule in the app, and pick a spot along the route a little ahead of time.

5. Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away

This nighttime parade is pretty good if you love parades. I wouldn’t plan my day around it unless I had kids who love that sort of thing. You also don’t need to get there very early. Sometimes you can catch it from a random spot at the last second.

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is inspired by the classic Main Street Electrical Parade. It has moments from Moana, Peter Pan, Encanto, Frozen, Pinocchio, and more. The route goes through Main Street, U.S.A., Liberty Square, and Frontierland. It doesn’t run every night, and Disney changes the schedule often, so always check the calendar before you plan around it.

6. Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is always a good time. It’s in Adventureland, and it’s a theater-in-the-round show with over 225 animatronic performers. It’s a classic, and it’s an easy one to add to your day.

More Magic Kingdom Shows Worth Knowing About

The Hall of Presidents

This one is somewhat worth it. What makes The Hall of Presidents special to me is how many animatronics are on stage at once, and how real it all feels. It’s very impressive. It’s in Liberty Square, and the show is about 25 minutes long. But if you have zero interest in presidents or history, you can skip this one. You don’t need to be early, but you do need to be on time.

Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire

I haven’t seen this one yet, so I can’t tell you what I think. Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire is a live stage show in front of Cinderella Castle. Mickey and his friends perform, and you can see characters from Tangled, Frozen, and The Princess and the Frog.

Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

I haven’t seen this one yet either. The Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is an interactive comedy show in Tomorrowland. Mike Wazowski is the host, and you might even become part of the show.

The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History

This one is fun for kids, and for adults who love the Muppets. You’ll find The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History in Liberty Square.

Let the Magic Begin

This is a short welcome show on Main Street, U.S.A. It’s cute, but you don’t have to do it.

Street Performers and Character Cavalcades

I think the street performers are great. The character cavalcades around the park are cool too, so keep your eyes open as you walk around.

Seasonal Party Shows at Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are special events with their own tickets. They have extra entertainment, and they only happen on select nights. I think the Halloween party is amazing at Halloween time, and the Christmas party is amazing at Christmas time.

One more show to know about: Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue ran in The Diamond Horseshoe from May 26 to September 8, 2026. I didn’t see it, and it’s over for this year.

Which Magic Kingdom Shows Should You Skip?

You don’t have to see everything. Here’s how I’d decide:

  • Short on time? Do Happily Ever After, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, and the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
  • Not into history? Skip The Hall of Presidents.
  • No kids who love parades? You can skip Disney Starlight, or just watch it if you happen to be nearby.
  • Traveling with kids? The Muppets show and the parades can be a lot of fun for them.
